My name is Annie, obviously.  I'm an elementary teacher for kids with significant disabilities in the San Francisco area but we will be transporting ourselves to Burlington, Vermont in about a month since my husband is going to be attending medical school there.  I have a five year old daughter who is a force to be reckoned with and am kind of a huge science nerd.  I basically read only non-fiction books about animals.  And sewing books-  but I'm pretty much a self-taught crafter and certainly do things my own way.  If I had never stumbled on the alternate universe of craft blogs I might never have gotten really into sewing.  I started making my foxes (modeled after the title character in Roald Dahl's book Fantastic Mr. Fox) a little over a year ago and enjoyed the process enough that our house is now overrun with them- hence the shop!
